About Greene With Envy
They walk among us. They’re in the grocery store, they eat in your restaurants. They may even live next door. They are highly organized with boundless energy, accomplishing a long list of tasks daily and take vacations on a whim. They come in pairs. “They” are married without children… That’s right, you know them well. And while you’re cleaning sick off your shoes before breakfast, they are having homemade omelets with mimosas on the terrace. Greene With Envy follows the adventures of Steve and Nancy Greene, a couple who chose to forgo children and opt, instead, for a quieter lifestyle. As they watch their suburban neighborhood’s population explode, however, they realize their decision often makes them the odd couple out, breeding a friendly interest from some and bright green streak of envy from others.
The Cast
Steve Greene
Having some success in screenwriting, Steve now works from home as a freelance writer. He uses his spare time to cook for his wife of 14 years, Nancy, plant his herb garden, hone is wood working skills, play his guitar and take Lola, the white husky to the park. He also enjoys monster movies and sushi.
Nancy Greene
Wife of Steve, fabric designer, print maker and amateur masseuse, Nancy enjoys her time with Steve, but also is sure to set aside a few hours a week for herself, where she enjoys long walks with Lola, tea and spa days with the girls and the occasional weekend to wine country. Nancy aspires to one day have enough time to build her own Adirondack Guideboat.
Lola Greene
Adopted by Steve and Nancy as a stray, Lola is the Greene’s first and only pet. She enjoys a life of leisure chasing squirrels, noshing the finest gourmet kibble and a complete rule of the house, from couch to king bed.
Tim LeBlanc
Tim and his family of five reside just across the Greene’s driveway. Between the demands of family and making his living as a local pediatrician, Tim barely finds enough time to enjoy a mid-morning donut. His dream is to sleep until 2026.
Colleen LeBlanc
Wife to Tim and a life-long stay at home Mom, Colleen loves nothing more than her family and the time they spend together. When not providing motherly advice to her children, she likes to pick out new paint colors for each room of the house, while feeding her guilty pleasure for daytime soaps.
Trista LeBlanc
Eldest child in the LeBlanc family, Trista a typical teenager, speaking in mumbles and grunts, constantly texting and finding ways to drive her overprotective Dad insane. She desperately wants the freedom to drive, but freezes with terror each time Tim puts her behind the wheel for a lesson.
Sebastian and Crenshaw LeBlanc
Identical twins at birth, Sebastian and Crenshaw possess the ability to finish each other’s sentences and anticipate each other’s moves. Sebastian is cunning and sharp, constantly planning elaborate presentations proving why he should receive additional candy and dessert. Crenshaw is pure brute force, coupled with a state of constant amazement at life’s every nuance.
Johnny LeBlanc
The third dog of the LeBlancs to bear the name, Johnny has managed to survive longer than any of his predecessors, despite being left outside in snowstorms and hurricanes regularly and forgotten to be fed almost daily. Johnny has a slobbering problem and crush on the Greene’s husky, Lola.
